Lewis OfMan composes music driven by movement: bodies, memories, and passing landscapes. Blending electronic music, breaks, balearic spirit and harmonies drawn from funk, jazz to Italian cinema soundtrack, he has been building a distinctive universe for several years—both danceable and introspective.
His debut album, Sonic Poems (2022), produced in London with Tim Goldsworthy—co-founder of the legendary New York label DFA—was critically acclaimed for it’s depth and balance between sonic complexity and melodic immediacy, blending breakbeat and romanticism with a consistent slight touch of irony.
With Cristal Medium Blue (2024), self- produced in Los Angeles, he delivers a more acoustic & slow record. This more narrative and almost psychedelic work reflects a search for organic sounds, closer to live performance. It features the track Frisco Blues, a perfect blend of folk and electronic sound, notably sampling the Eastside Connection famous break “frisco disco”.
Lewis OfMan’s music took him to prestigious festival stages such as Coachella, Rock-en-Seine, Corona Capital, and the Pitchfork Festival, where his performances have been widely praised. He regularly tours the United States, Mexico, and Europe, more recently Seoul, South Korea, a city that gave birth to his last project to date, the eponym Seoul Mixtape featuring an artwork made by rising korean painter Jaemin Bae. A collection of sophisticated extended songs inspired by the music Lewis heard in Seoul refined clubs.
