Born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, Lex grew up in a diverse household where her love for music began. Born to an African American father and Pacific Islander mother, Lex was heavily influenced by the sounds of Island tunes alongside various rhythmic pop and R&B influences such as Whitney Houston, Beyonce, Janet Jackson, Rihanna, Lauryn Hill, Aaliyah, Mariah Carey, Ciara and more. She soon started singing in her grandfather’s church and school choir at age 6 leading up to the turning point in Lex’s music journey - a childhood singing competition where she beat her fellow contestants with her astounding cover of Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing”. From that moment on, the love affair between Lex and her passion for music became stronger than ever.

Lex’s smooth and melodic sound embodies the nostalgia of the feel good 90s R&B with a splash of edginess and modernized womanhood. “When women listen to my music, I want them to feel empowered and just feel like a bad B (excuse my french)”, says Lex. Her music mixed with her future aspirations of being involved in the beauty, film, and fashion industry makes Lex destined to be a name you’ll soon know and never forget.
