Leyan Senay is a Belgian independent drummer, drum educator, songwriter, and Turkish ambassador of Hit Like A Girl. She studied piano in high school, and her major was English Literature at the university. Then she discovered her passion for drums and began her drum journey in her early 20s. She toured with famous bands and orchestras throughout Turkey. Finally, she began to follow her own path as an independent drummer and started giving drum workshops and making performances worldwide, representing odd-time Turkish traditional grooves to the whole world! One of her biggest aims became giving inspiration and encouragement to women to follow their dreams. She became a Ted X speaker and gained a reward for "2022's most inspirational woman of the year." She has also been creating content for social media for 5 years. Now, she has opened a new chapter in her musical journey and has started creating her own songs!
