Liana Vaipa-Rice is a 21 year old mixed-Polynesian (Niuean/Samoan/European) woman from Auckland, New Zealand and aspires to be a successful singer/songwriter one day. Liana began her ascend into the music industry in 2015 as she joined Crescendo Trust of Aotearoa under the mentoring of former guitarist of Blindspott, Marcus Powell and former Nesian Mystik member David Atai. Liana also gained international success that same year when she donated her first recorded song titled "The World Within One Land" to Linkin Park's charity Music For Relief's compilation album "Download to Donate". She featured as track 7 and the album gained 5,000 downloads worldwide. In 2016, Liana continued her studies at Excel School of Performing Arts to better her craft as a singer and performer and she also continued recording music with music producer David Atai. In 2017, Liana released her debut single titled "Fruitcake" on all digital platforms and had an accompanying music video that gained 8k+ views on Facebook, reaching a total of 29,308 people and 10k+ being an organic reach. Following on from that, Liana continued her journey with Excel and was selected to be a Drama Major on a nation-wide tour that also gave her the opportunity to sing "Fruitcake" every week as part of their big Friday night show "REAL TALK". It is safe to say that Liana has achieved a lot as a brand new kiwi artist breaking into the industry and plans to make many more successful moves.
