Made up of 3/4ths Cross My Heart members, Liars Academy was founded in Baltimore in 2000. Vocalist/guitarist Ryan Shelkett, guitarist/vocalist Fred Fritz, bassist Chris Camden, and drummer Evan Tanner soon signed with Equal Vision Records, issuing the No News Is Good News LP in 2002, and the Trading My Life EP a year later. Gigs followed with Jets to Brazil, Christiansen, and Bear vs. Shark. Brazil's J. Robbins produced Demons, Liars Academy's 2004 effort for Equal Vision; the record was the strongest representation yet of the band's catchy blend of emo and indie rock. ~ Johnny Loftus, Rovi
