LICANTROPHY

Licantrophy nace en Bogotá en el mes de mayo del año 2014 por iniciativa de Daniel Poveda (Guitarra), con el fin de hacer una propuesta diferente a los géneros convencionales de metal que se gestan en la escena del metal Colombiano, iniciando ensayos con la participación de Yeison Poveda(Guitarra), Cristian Moreno (Batería) y Oscar López (Voz), posteriormente en el mes de octubre se integra a la banda Miguel Mendieta (Bajo).
De esta unión se logra una mezcla de diferentes influencias, en las cuales se integran vivencias personales, temas literarios, cuestionamientos existenciales y dogmas establecidos en nuestra sociedad contemporánea y globalizada. El resultado, una tendencia de género Gothic – Doom Metal con distintas temáticas.

Licantrophy was born in Bogota in the month of May 2014 on the initiative of Daniel Poveda (Guitar), in order to make a different proposal to the conventional genres of metal that are developed in the Colombian metal scene, starting rehearsals with the participation of Yeison Poveda (Guitar), Cristian Moreno (Drums) and Oscar Lopez (Voice), later in the month of October Miguel Mendieta (Bass) joins the band.
From this union a mixture of different influences is achieved, in which personal experiences, literary themes, existential questions and dogmas established in our contemporary and globalized society are integrated. The result, a tendency of Gothic - Doom Metal genre with different themes.
