Lie to Life is a Michigan based New age rock/Metalcore band fronted by Zach Johnson the former unclean vocalist of I See Stars signed under Sumerian Records. After Zach's project Outerglow broke up due to other band members not wanting to tour he moved back to Michigan and started writing songs for his next project entitled "Lie to Life". Lie to Life was a local band Zach produced some singles for and was interested in working with on a more intimate level. After band members of Lie to Life went separate ways guitarist Tyler Derikx and Zach Johnson teamed up to start this new musical endeavor. They decided to keep the name Lie to Life because they felt it matched the music very well. All music is written, produced, and tracked by Zach Johnson and Tyler Derikx. The songs are written about struggle, addiction, heartbreak and much more. They are also presented in a way to be uplifting; encouraging those who suffer from similar dilemmas to rise above them and achieve peace and happiness.
