Growing up around Asheville, NC, music has always been a big part of my life. It wasn't until my mother "strongly suggested" that I take piano lessons though, that music became so much more than a hobby. I basically ignored my daily lesson assignments and sat at the piano everyday writing songs instead. A little more than a year after I started piano, I had my first singer/songwriter performance, and although it was a complete trainwreck, I knew that's what I wanted to do with my life. The next few years were filled with doing shows anywhere I could book something and eventually I ended up touring with a few rock bands. I was still looking to find where I fit in the musical world when I heard Alone by Marshmello. With that, I knew I found an outlet I wanted to explore. Fast forward several years later and I was finally in a place musically where I felt I was beginning to find myself. After a brief stint in progressive house, I found that I was gravitating towards future bass. For me, it opens up a lot of elements with my particular style of writing that let me experiment with bringing more of a rock influenced background into my songs. I grew up on rock and it will always be at my core. Now I'm able to begin to bring it to the core of future bass as well.
