The 27 year old emcee, Lil QWERTY just might be an anomaly from 2099 fighting alongside Spider-Man and somehow has managed to come back to 2024 to drop everything he’s learned on us. Already receiving coverage from publications like Lyrical Lemonade & Noisey, QWERTY is changing the timeline for the better.
When you throw on a QWERTY record you have no clue what universe he’s coming from. One track could be a warning from a world in a future where Pirate Bay still exists, another track could come from a timeline where the Google Translate Lady drops hooks hotter than T-Pain. Don’t get it twisted though because the honesty and emotions he wears on his sleeve are there too. His 2017 debut album “Jumpdrive,” is an eclectic band of songs telling the tales of a Black man from the future. Since then his releases have begun describing a new world that's yet to be explored - with a view of this new land it's getting hard to tell if QWERTY is here to save the world or if he believes the world is doomed and is humorously waiting for its demise.
The Arizona standout is on his way and this isn’t even when considering his appearance on Injury Reserve's 2019 self-titled album. Moreover the self-made path QWERTY has laid out allows him to stretch his arms and perform with acts like Azizi Gibson, Curren$y, Lil Pump and others.
Our hero is here to fix fractured cosmos housing a few scars with his own experiences and humor - we don’t deserve Lil QWERTY.
