Trey Powers AKA “Lil Senju” is an artist from Reedley, CA. Since 2017 he has been releasing music which is sonically different from the competition.
Blending west coast production with dark trap vocals “Lil Senju” is making a name for himself as an artist who stands out from the rest. (especially considering the fact he makes his own instrumentals from scratch.)
On June 21, 2017, “Lil Senju” was born, Trey had just turned 16 and after 2 years of messing around on FL Studio, he decided to attempt to make his own song. Later that day his first song was released. “40:07” incorporated heavy autotune with alternative lyrics.
The next day at school Trey was astonished when multiple people were playing his song on their speakers and complementing him. This day was the push he needed to take music seriously.
June 18, 2018, his debut album “Senju” was released, and seemingly overnight it became a hit locally. “Beetlejuice” was released with a music video, that to this day is considered a classic locally.
Fast forward to 2025, “Lil Senju” has been releasing music which is 100% self-made, as he creates a beat, records his vocals, engineers vocals and masters the final mix. As projects released recently demonstrate how “Lil Senju” can turn west coast-inspired production into a dark & sinister song simply by utilizing his voice and unique style.
