Lil Zavi is adding to the culture of hip-hop in one of the genre’s rising cities. The Miami native fell in love with rap at an early age, being left in awe at the lyrical stylings of the modern era such as Lil Wayne and Drake. Those two artists in particular also proved to be an inspiration because they and other artists started rapping or singing about personal matters of the heart with a rawness that was rarely seen within the genre at that time. After middle school friends pushed him to pursue music, Lil Zavi began freestyling at lunch tables and writing bars in his spare time before taking it more seriously in high school. The now twenty-one-year-old emcee now has a flair for the melodic musings akin to Lil Uzi Vert as he glides across trap-flavored production with crisp and clean delivery and an emotional core the genre seems to lack at times. Across his recent singles, he has amassed tens of thousands of streams, but Lil Zavi is set to make this year way bigger than the last!
