Hailing from Perth WA, four piece band Lilac Hill are bringing the early 2000's sound back into the limelight. Lead by frontman Daniel Mateiu the four boys are continuing to hone their craft as they've taken to the Perth scene. With the aid of college student and friend Jay O'Byrne, Lilac Hill recorded and released their first single as a demo in March of 2024 titled Gringo/1107.
Almost as if by fate, the band formed in 2022 after a series of fortunate events brought them all together. High school friends, lead guitarist Michael Lynch and bassist Joel Warman pursued music studies in college where they briefly met Daniel when recording a song for their college band. It wasn't until months later when Daniel and Michael reunited at their pizza delivery job, that they bonded over their shared music taste and desire to start a new band. Bringing in drummer Rupert Clark, former band mate of Daniel's, the four boys started and never stopped.
