LILAC SKIES is a singer/ songwriter. She writes all of her own music about the lesbian experience from a range of genres: piano ballads, emo/rock songs, and lesbian EDM/hyper pop. Her debut EP 'Confessions of a Femme' explore the topics of her preferences for mascs, what it's like to date a narcissist, to her passion for the female form.
She first created a following on Tumblr under the name @gettinghighonlilacskies in 2015 and then under the same name on Instagram in 2018- posting her own poetry, song lyrics and all content related to the escapism for anything purple, dreamlike, euphoric, and intoxicating skies.
Her fans have always praised her vulnerability, rawness and ability to be open about deep and sometimes sad subject matters.
She met @joanna.mc.music, who plays the guitar and bass, at a music event in London and they have been collaborating and performing since. They will be performing in London gigs, festivals and lgbt+ pride. Follow @lilacskies_music to keep up with their upcoming events.
