My name is Lina Janeski. I am a 17 year old songwriter from an island off the coast of BC. Ever since the age of 9 I have been singing and writing songs. Songwriting has always been my way of expressing and understanding my emotions. To me, music is something that connects us universally and it can be therapeutic. Ever since picking up my first ukulele I have been working through and explaining events in my life by writing angsty lyrics to whatever melody pops into my constantly hyperactive brain.
I would describe my style as a blend between modern artists like Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo and classic 90’s punk and rock bands such as No Doubt, which is very different from my music taste which varies from Chase Atlantic to The Neighbourhood.
My goal is to take you on an emotional journey and to connect with you through my lyrics. I hope that you can get to know me through my music and that you enjoy my debut single, Best Fake Friend.
