After growing her roots in the Midwest, Lindsey Alderman traveled to the west coast to pursue a new life in San Diego, CA.
Her music career began on Soundcloud with a remake of Drake's "Girls Love Beyonce" titled “Nobody’s Bitch”, establishing a confident presence for herself as she began to navigate the local scene. The song gained traction and Alderman began booking local gigs which included singing the National Anthem back-to-back seasons for the Kansas City Royals and opening for Tinashe in 2016.
Honoring her truths, Alderman stylistically adapts her sound based on her current circumstances. Whether it’s over 808’s and trap cadences or simple guitar melodies, she showcases her ability to bridge the gap between genres. She sultrily sings diary-like verses that flow into powerful and catchy hooks. In her latest releases, Alderman’s songs are not only self-written and recorded, but she's also crafted the beats. Her latest album, Retrospection, is her first entirely self-produced album.
If you’re in the mood for a heartbreaking ballad, a female empowerment anthem, or a vulnerable love song, she’s got you covered. While the themes of her music continuously evolve, one things remains constant throughout her discography: self-love comes first.
