Boston-based singer and songwriter Lindsey Buck makes music that’s rooted in soul and blues but wanders freely – drawing on jazz, timeless pop, and intimate balladry – to create something unmistakably her own. Her debut album "The Laundry & The Ecstasy" (Newvelle Records) blends heartfelt storytelling with a bold, big-band sound – nine songs that move between late-night vulnerability and wild celebration.
Produced by Newvelle founder Elan Mehler and performed with a stellar 10-piece band, the album showcases Buck’s powerful, expressive voice and a writing style that finds beauty and strength in everyday moments. Highlights include "Quiet Town," a haunting reflection on the early days of the COVID-19 lockdown, and "Breathe," a stirring showcase of the depth and range that have quickly made Buck one of New England’s most exciting new voices.
