Link up Daddy is a young creative act from Ghana. Real name Gilbert Dawsey Konyï Jnr , Linkup Daddy hails from Takoradi in the Western Region. He started his career as a dancer back in High School. Coming from a family with a musical background, he found himself on various stages, singing and performing to high schoolmates.
• He identifies his music as Afro Rhythm but tries to be diverse with his sound. He has two recognised EP’s to his name; Feelz (2020) and Scars (2021) which have over 14k plays on Audiomack. The scars album features acts like Phronesis now Genna and Kwe now Psykoworldwide . He has previously been associated with Ground Up Chale, a creative hub that played a major role in his music development as an upcoming artiste.
Growing up in Takoradi, he was exposed to the very best of music from the likes of CK Mann, TH4 kwages, Kofi Kinaata and Pappy Kojo.
He has been deeply influenced by their music and aims to carry on that legacy.
