Liquid Core are a Swedish electronic music duo formed in Växjö, 2005. The band consists of Kristofer Hammarsten, who writes the music and the majority of the lyrics, and David Öster on vocals.
David and Kristofer are from the same village and have known each other since childhood. But it was not until several years later they started talking about making music together after Kristofer had heard David sing at a party. A few weeks later, they began to record and they quickly realized they had something special going on. Four songs were recorded in a four-month period, and everything just flowed. Unfortunately, the band now had to take a one year break while David studied at a design school in Singapore. This turned out to be a good thing in the end because it meant that Kristofer had plenty of time to write new material for the upcoming album. As soon as David came back home, they started recording the new songs and their first album "Marching To Our Own Drummer" was released on October 20, 2008.
They both share the love for electronic and alternative music. Both rock/pop bands like Depeche Mode, Placebo and the Swedish heroes of Kent as well as more dance orientated artists like The Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy and Daft Punk. This is reflected in their music which is a great mixture of rock/pop and dance music, mainly with a modern sound but with obvious influences from the 80's!
