Little Egypt Worship was birthed from a couple of different situations and iterations coming to fruition. After Jermaine Bollinger stepped down from his latest Artist In Residence position in 2021, he decided to form what he then called a 'for hire' situation where he would lead worship at churches who didn't have a worship leader until they found one. That is where the name, Little Egypt Worship came from. Jermaine always had the desire to have an in house praise team at churches, but that never came to be because of moving from church to church, and simply the way life panned out.
He then felt he needed a song to be birthed from the experience he had during COVID. He wanted to have a lasting memory or legacy of what he felt the mindset should be with the scope of what he and others felt during that period. He heard a speaker at a conference pose the question: "People are going to look back on history and ask what was done during this time? Specifically, Christians are going to ask, what did Christians do to draw closer to God in this time?"
Jermaine wanted to do something that made a difference, and this is what he decided to do. Launch a ministry with friends and family involved where he took a backseat to leading the ministry, and he focused on developing others within the ministry in the realm of modern worship. Thus, Little Egypt Worship was born.
