Little Graves is an indie rock group formed in 2017. Hailing from Traverse City, MI, their sound draws on a wide range of influences including pop, alt rock, post emo, experimental, and shoegaze. With two EPs released through hometown label Vacant Records and a variety of shows played both regionally and far flung, the group is currently writing in anticipation of their first full length slated for release in 2021.
Little Graves was formed in spring of 2017 as a project between long time friends Morgan Arrowood (lyrics, vocals, keys) and Vincent Grimaldi (bass, backing lyrics/vocals). With Arrowood having written ‘Girls on Fire’ and ‘Hedonism’ almost entirely on piano, Grimaldi worked to incorporate bass, but the pair lacked the resources to bring the tunes to their full rock band vision. Two months later, drummer Levi Garrett joined forces, adding his integral technical influences and a much needed backing beat. Finally, two EPs, several guitarists, 2 years and 20+ shows later, guitarist Zack Brooks (formerly of Lonesome George) was incorporated, bringing Little Graves to its current iteration, and best lineup to date.
