Hailing from the nineties is Hip-Hop Artist, Writer and Producer Little Shawn. Most notable for his mention on Notorious BIG’s hit single “Party & Bullshit” where he rapped, “Can we just all get along, so I can put Hickies On Her Chest like Little Shawn, which was also one of Shawn’s debut singles on Capitol Records. Beginning his career as a Ghostwriter, Shawn was hired by Sean “Puffy” Combs and Andre Harrell to write for Uptown MCA Artist Father MC on his debut album Fathers’ Day. He is also credited with getting Jay-Z on New York Radio Station Hot 97, negotiating Busta Rhymes solo deal once he’d depart from his group Leaders Of The New School, among other things. In 1995 Shawn & Notorious BIG revisited collaboration with the hit single “Dom Perignon”. Unfortunately, it was that tragic night in November of 1994 at Quad Studios, where fellow Artist Tupac Shakur was shot five times as he arrived to feature on a song with Shawn, which was the catalyst for what we now know as The East Coast West Coast Beef. As Shawn puts it, that was when he’d fall out of love with Hip-Hop and go onto do a five year stint in Federal Prison for Drug Trafficking. Thankfully, he’s back with new music under the same monicker to continue that signature sound you guys have grown to know and love with singles like “Gimme Your Love”, Set You Free, I’LL WAIT and his latest installment “SEND HER HOME”.
