Livet Nord is an esteemed freelance musician and composer based in Siljansnäs, Sweden. She was studying at the music academy in Gothenburg 1994-1998. Since 1996 she has been part of a variety of formations and projects, within various music genres and toured throughout the world. New Tide Orquesta, Kaja, Beches Brew, Kultiration and Kraken Shanty Band are some of the groups she has been, or still is, part of to name a few. You will also find her playing the violin at over 60 phonograms and she is the funder of the record label Kakafon Records that has released some of Swedens' most prominent artists and groups within Swedish folk/world music and poetry.
In 2015 Livet Nord recieved one of the finest awards, "Artist Of The Year", at the Swedish Folk & World Music Gala at Berwaldhallen i Stockholm.
In May 2023 Livet Nord will release her solo debut album Paperbird with music composed for the beautiful poetical cirkus performance "Ska det vara såhär??!". The play had its world premiere in February 2022. The first single "Suddenly She Passed By" was released in October 2022! The second single "The Angry Girl" was released in February 2023. The third single "Nu slår en blomma ut" will be released on the 10th of March together with a video. The fourth single release "Solace" is on the 5th of May.
