Philadelphia, PA-born singer Liz Hogue recorded the mellow steppers favorite "Dream Lover" -- not to be confused with the Mariah Carey hit of the same name. Written and produced by former Isley Brothers keyboardist Chris Jasper on his Gold City label distributed by Columbia, "Dream Lover" is a sparkling beat ballad enhanced by Hogue's husky, intimate vocals that at times recall Anita Baker. The sensual track was included on her 1990 LP Vicious & Fresh. Liz Hogue does background vocals on Rhythm Logic's self-titled CD on Zebra/WEA. ~ Ed Hogan, Rovi
