Liz Jai

Liz Jai is a London based top line songwriter and vocalist of Nigerian-Indian decent. Demonstrating a strong alto and mezzo- soprano vocal, Liz Jai’s versatility has been influenced by R&B and soul singers such as Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin and Brandy to name a few.


Her smooth soulful tone has lended her opportunities to tour the world as a backing singer. She has performed /toured/ recorded with a plethora of top UK artists including <a href="spotify:artist:34v5MVKeQnIo0CWYMbbrPf" data-name="John Newman">John Newman</a> <a href="spotify:artist:0ukgrNYk51TkMQr0f2Br4Q" data-name="Maverick Sabre">Maverick Sabre</a>, Miles Kane , <a href="spotify:artist:5lKZWd6HiSCLfnDGrq9RAm" data-name="Leona Lewis">Leona Lewis</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1moxjboGR7GNWYIMWsRjgG" data-name="Florence &#43; The Machine">Florence &#43; The Machine</a>, Katy B, Joss Stone for her Soul Session Vol 2 tour, <a href="spotify:artist:7sfgqEdoeBTjd8lQsPT3Cy" data-name="Emeli Sandé">Emeli Sandé</a> -Our Version of Events tour.
She also performed for the <a href="spotify:artist:3rxIQc9kWT6Ueg4BhnOwRK" data-name="Quincy Jones">Quincy Jones</a> show at the Britten Theatre in 2014 alongside soulful artists like Mica Paris and Jocelyn Brown.


She was also one of the founding members of the Urban Development Vocal Collective (UDVC) working, performing, collaborating and recording with the likes of <a href="spotify:artist:2feDdbD5araYcm6JhFHHw7" data-name="Labrinth">Labrinth</a> (Syco Music) and Shola Ama. Liz Jai is also a choir director and leads a community choir. She was choir director at the National Television Awards on ITV for Ben Haenow’s live performance (X factor 2014 winner).

She developed a huge love for house music and released her first single with <a href="spotify:artist:0xsRKB7fUYI5BgzqerYW1z" data-name="Kleva Keys">Kleva Keys</a> “New Day” on Tony Records in 2016. Her follow up record include “Enough For You” with <a href="spotify:artist:4Jv9I6DAbcjDa8HGFAjv94" data-name="The Aston Shuffle">The Aston Shuffle</a> and “Surrender” on Defected Records with <a href="spotify:artist:6vA6cSTccr4x9yZmWfbIzE" data-name="Mark Di Meo">Mark Di Meo</a> which reached number 1 on traxsource.
