Once described as "Courtney Barnett T-boning Joan Jett, while they were both singing Dolly Parton" Lizzie Jack and the Beanstalks are a four-piece indie rock band from Wollongong.
Forming in 2019, they have become one of the staple acts in Wollongong and Sydney, sharing the stage with Gooch Palms, MID CITY, The Buoys and Eliza And The Delusionals.
The band presents a hybrid of folk-esque storytelling and garage rock, taking influence from Ruby Fields, Alex Lahey, Eliza and the Delusionals and Spacey Jane. The Beanstalks are anthemic, authentic and here to leave a lasting impression.
Their live show presence has not gone unnoticed, headlining sell-out shows across the Illawarra from Thirroul to Port Kembla and taking out the top spot in the 2021 UOW Band Comp.
With their new song 'Dumb Decisions' being released on the 22nd of September and a slot at Yours and Owls Festival 2023, you don’t want to sleep on The Beanstalks’ and their brand of summer-soaked, nostalgic anthems.
