LNKAY

LNKAY is the alias of the Stockholm based Ellen Stokstad, 25. She has earlier released singles such as Hurricane, Overload and Keep My Head up. Her new single, Can't Get Enough Of My Face, gives us a taste of what's coming next year.


LNKAY calls her music anxiety-pop, an expression that comes naturally from her personal experiences of depression.
The name LNKAY flirts with the name of another Ellen, more precisely Ellen Key, a famous Swedish feminist who lived during the late half of the 19th century. The muse ”LNKAY” is a statement that impregnates everything in the way LNKAY is heard, seen, and the way she talks about inconvenient subjects.

LNKAY is a creative artist who enjoys having a lot of projects in motion. Besides her artistry she writes and produces music for other artists while she also freelancing as a DJ, Club promoter and consults on design. She’s also the founder of the female music collective ”Musikgäris” (slang for music girls), a community for girls, transgender and none binary people who are active within the music business. The initiative is a reaction to the patriarchal structures of the music business and has today more then 3000 members. As a founder of the collective she made herself a name on the scene and today there’s a documentary about LNKAY and the community with more than 50 000 views.
