Local Flora was born out of a desire to play jam-inspired psychedelic rock and make people dance. The Chapel Hill band draws on a wide variety of influences, including artists like Tame Impala, Toro y Moi, Real Estate, and Mac Demarco, as well as the improvisational style of jam bands like the Grateful Dead, Phish, and Umphrey's McGee.
