Locana Yoca

Locana Yoca is a duo that transcends the boundaries of music and the perception of what 'new' and 'old' sound means. Panos (electric bouzouki) and Evangelos (drums), give shape to a sound that doesn't go with the usual narrative. Oriental melodies, punk rawness and rock intensity travel the listener to mysterious sound journeys. The electric bouzouki is transformed into something new, something unexpected and wild. The music speaks to us about concepts such as the search for the divine and the concept of human as a being that transcends matter and reaches spiritual fulfillment through the wisdom and simplicity of nature.

Οι Locana Yoca είναι ένα δίδυμο που ξεπερνά τα όρια της μουσικής και της αντίληψης περί του τι σημαίνει νέος και παλιός ήχος. Ο Πάνος (ηλεκτρικό μπουζούκι) και ο Ευάγγελος(ντραμς) δίνουν μορφή σε έναν ήχο που δεν πάει με τους κανόνες. Ανατολίτικες μελωδίες, πανκ ωμότητα και ροκ ένταση ταξιδέυουν τον ακροατή σε μυσταγωγικα ηχητικα ταξίδια. Το ηλεκτρικό μπουζούκι μεταμορφώνεται σε κάτι νέο, κάτι απροσδόκητο και άγριο. Η μουσική μας μιλά για έννοιες όπως η αναζήτηση του θείου και τον άνθρωπο ως ον που υπερβαίνει την ύλη και φτάνει σε πνευματική ολοκλήρωση μέσα από τη σοφία και την απλότητα της φύσης.
