Lóchrann is a folk metal band from Brazil that blends the raw power of heavy metal with the ancient soul of Celtic tradition.
Formed in Campinas, São Paulo, since 2005 Lóchrann brings together distorted guitars, thunderous drums, and traditional instruments like tin whistle, violin, mandolin, and bodhrán — all lit by the fire of ancestral melodies. The band’s name comes from the Gaelic word for “lantern,” symbolizing light and resistance in dark times, a guiding flame through the chaos.
Their debut album, "TownsFolk", is a journey through folklore and rebellion, featuring guest musicians from the global folk and heavy metal scene.
