Lok Stock. A new two piece electronic rock band from Brighton UK, on a mission to redefine guitar based, groove-heavy music.
In previous bands the duo have collectively performed with and alongside world renowned artists, on legendary stages, all over the globe. Both Blake and Lew had crashed back to the reality of 9-5 employment and odd-jobs following the rise and fall of previous successes, before meeting up by chance on the streets of Brighton’s thriving live scene. Drawing crowds in their hundreds over the summer, and playing for hours straight to create spontaneous street parties that had to be shut down by police, they realised they had tapped into something that was missing. Deciding to put that energy into a band that combined all their past projects, amalgamating a new sound in the process, and strapping flamethrowers onto their instruments, they set off on a mission to set fire to the scene.
Laying the foundation for what is to come, Lok Stock performed their first show at the Arcadia 'Reach' fundraiser in Bristol for their Sierra Leone water-drilling project. Performing on the back of Arcadia's 'Bug' stage (an ex military vehicle converted into a giant beetle that doubles as a mobile sound system) with flamethrower guitars, surrounded by flaming towers, in the pouring rain, it set the bar for what you should expect from a Lok Stock show.
Sounds like: If Royal Blood skydived into a post apocalyptic rave, this would be the soundtrack.
