After two years of growing and discovering who she is Lola Godheld is back with her first single 'The Bird Song’! Ft UK’s very own Lioness. Written by Godheld herself, this song is a spin of Justin Biebers ‘All That Matters’ record. ‘The Bird Song’comes with a defiant message about forgiveness in a uncommon way.

Lola’s Words“I wrote the song from an initial reaction that most women have when they’ve been cheated on, which is ‘I want to fight’ but as emotions are kicked out and sanity comes back in we tend remember we’re more than that and being physical doesn’t produce the best results. I solely wanted to show that everybody deserves and needs forgiveness. Even those that are ‘home wreckers’ and people that hurt us, because the truth is, we don’t know their story and it’s mainly insecurities that drives people to do such things.


This new single from Lola Godheld comes on the back of strong support from the likes of BET, Capital Xtra, Complex UK, Afropunk, The Source and ILUVLIVE for her recent releases 'Crazy Black Woman' and 'Words', and ‘Can’t Pull Me Down’is the first offering from her forthcoming debut EP, Lola believes that there’s too much of the same thing out at the moment and wants to be the one who brings a different perspective to the music industry.
