Born in Montreal, Lola Melita is a singer-songwriter who embodies depth, grace and mystery. Her grandmother ("Melita", whom she was named after) also had a gift and passion for music and had been invited to sing on several occasions with Tony Bennett and Guy Lombardo in the 1940s. Unfortunately, because of the customs of the time, her husband prevented her from pursuing her dream of becoming a professional singer, which ultimately caused her prolonged suffering. "Melita" passed away right before Lola Melita was born, and to this day it is said that she transmitted her the powerful legacy of singing.
