Eiza González Reyna, better known to fans of Mexican youth culture as Lola, was born in Mexico City in January 1990. The daughter of model Glenda Reyna, Lola was brought up amidst the glitz and glamour of Mexico's bustling entertainment industry. Her first major role as the title character in Lola, Erase una Vez earned her overnight notoriety. Playing a modern-day Cinderella with a rock-princess edge, Lola parlayed the role into an opportunity to record, much like <a href="spotify:artist:2S9W9aSAd7e5mp8WqWxN2h">Hilary Duff</a>'s transition from actor to teen pop star. Thanks to Lola's built-in audience, her repertoire was an instant success on Mexican radio, and the actor-turned-singer's debut album (also entitled Erase una Vez) maintained a presence in the Top Ten for months.
