A folk metal band from the dark forests of metropolitan Stockholm, Lombolo blends Nordic folk music with heavy metal.
The childhood friends Lennart (clean vocals, flute, accordion) and Walerius (guitars, mandolin, growls) had played music together since they were 9 years old. When they met Johan (bass, clean and harsh vocals) in 2017 the basis for the band was formed. In 2024, the trio became a quintet when they added Christofer on drums and Bonden on rhythm guitar.
They released <a href="spotify:album:1htUtOb5kMdIvjcEaZlgwh" data-name="Vandringsmannen">Vandringsmannen</a>, their first full-length album in July of 2020. In August 2023 they released their sophomore album <a href="spotify:album:1x6vbncZKUqtcpGIsX6ns9" data-name="Här och Där">Här och Där</a>. In 2024 the trio became a quintet when they added Christofer on drums and Erik on guitar. The same year the band made their festival debut, playing at the highly regarded Månegarm Open Air festival.
