London Bones is the new collaboration between lyricist Stevan Bennett and musician Chris Bowers
Stevan and Chris first met in the ‘90s on the London indie circuit playing with The Grooveyard, a psychedelic five-piece cited later as an influence by bands as diverse as The Bluetones and Stereolab.
Chris went on to join Hopper, the first band signed to Tony Wilson’s Factory Too label and has played bass and toured worldwide with Edwyn Collins and Bernard Butler, among others.
Stevan moved into the world of radio broadcast and production, with many years spent working at the BBC, while also making regular appearances on the London spoken word scene.
London Bones re-unites Stevan and Chris's diverse talents, marrying an infectious groove to the words of one of the UKs great unsung lyricists.
Their debut album ‘Greetings from the UK’ is set to follow in the New Year, released on their own Chiswick Flo label.
