Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Alongé Brooks, better known as "Longé" is a singer and songwriter whose starting career was in playing football. Having been a standout athlete at Riverside City College opened up many doors for different scholarships but Longé ultimately chose to play at the University of South Dakota, where he was recognized as New Comer of the Year and played a significant role in the team being ranked and competing in the NCAA Division 1-AA playoffs. After graduating from the University of South Dakota with a degree in Kinesiology, Longé continued to pursue football professionally for a short period of time before injury and tragic events changed the course of his plans, where he then turned to music as a way of self-expression.
