LongoStaRR

Born in the early 70s in Belgium (and active for 20 years until the 90s), LONGOSTARR quickly stood out with its raw energy and refusal to conform to the clichés of mainstream pop. Inspired by the concerns of its time, the band tackled socially engaged themes with powerful lyrics and modern arrangements, steering away from superficial trends.

Rooted in rock and hard rock, LONGOSTARR blended diverse influences to forge its own unique identity. The (brothers) band first gained recognition performing covers of popular hits at parties and concerts, before developing an original repertoire of compositions where each member brought their own musical personality:

GianFranco – guitarist, singer, and main composer, the creative backbone of the band.
Sandro – keyboardist and sound architect, mastering machines and textures.
Gigi – bassist, delivering both rhythmic drive and melodic depth.
Roberto – drummer, infusing the music with relentless energy.

Together, they created a distinctive alchemy of rock power and artistic ambition, resulting in timeless music. Their standout track “USA-USSR” perfectly embodies this vision: modern, energetic indie rock with a socially conscious edge that remains strikingly relevant today.
