Formed in 2014 in Brooklyn, NY, the blackened post-metal Look The part, Be The Part, Motherfucker is made up of two cantankerous, irascible, iconoclasts who bonded at a job they hated over heavy music and a knack for making poor life decisions. After spending about twenty minutes learning to play their instruments, Luke Santoro (vocals, bass) and Edmund Kump (guitars) recorded and released the EP Don't Be a Hero in the spring of 2015 via their own label Dead Flag Records. In the winter of 2017 they followed it up with the EP True North, a significantly more unsettling, and heavy affair that was recorded, mixed and mastered by Kump at The Mire Studio.
