Fronted by Eric Nizgretsky, a first-generation Ukrainian-American with Kyiv roots, the band has spent much of the past year organizing a series of benefit shows to help those wounded and displaced in Ukraine. “Just a Boy in a Band,” their latest release, is a nod to the absurd, childish belief that a three-minute song might still matter—and the joy of chasing that feeling and finding magic in the mess with your bandmates. Recent hometown shows include a sold-out 1,500-capacity Webster Hall and multiple headlining nights at Baby's All Right, as well as selling out recent stops in Boston, Philly, DC, and Los Angeles.
