Born and raised in the South Bronx of NYC, Lord Daze wrote his first song at 12. Linking with local DJs, he recorded before even memorizing his verse. By 1995, he and friends created The Young Fugitives. Around this time, his cousin Rah-Nitty, a member of Harlem’s N.F.L., introduced him to Big L. The two would sit in the park on 139th & Lenox, conversations that shaped Daze’s vision.
In 1998, Lord Daze dropped his first street project, Thoughts Under My Hoody. By 2002, he followed with his independent release Game Tight, then Game Tight Vol. 2 in 2004. In 2005, he teamed up with childhood friend Blaze for The Point of No Return, but before the project could reach its potential, both were arrested on unrelated charges. After his release in 2010, Daze bounced back with Results After the Pressure (R.A.P). That same year, he launched his own imprint, Scrilla Guerillaz Magazine, planting his flag as both an artist and entrepreneur.
By 2015, Daze expanded further into entertainment, signing with producer Stevie J and bringing his brand to VH1’s Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta. Although television and film slowed his music output, he still dropped the single On Fire featuring Tony Rock that year.
In 2024, he went international, signing with travel company Tropic Travelers to create and perform music across South America. Today, Lord Daze is building on an international platform while staying true to his Bronx roots, pushing culture forward through both music and media.
