Lori Malvey

Hello, and glad to meet you. I'm a singer/songwriter of many genres of songs & instrumentals, and love recording in the studio. I play synths & piano, and have been singing and composing music most of my life. Genres include singer/songwriter, alt folk, jazz, pop, and positive dance music to name a few. I'm eclectic, like most open minded musicians I know.

My career began by singing in coffeehouses and hanging out in NJ and NYC dance, rock, and jazz clubs. I started writing pop songs, which found their way to guitarist Ken Malvey and his rock band. We called it “Ground Floor." We also got married (took the plunge!). The band played extensively throughout the NY/NJ original club scene and produced our 1 CD "Weep No More." After the band ended, we had some kids and I started doing local open mics. This began another fruitful writing phase, only in new directions. So I wrote & produced my first solo CD called "Heaven Rising" then started working with producer Richard Piszker. Together we began co-writing songs and releasing music.

Today, I regularly write and release solo material, as well as co-write with other artists. I sing live at open mics & churches.
