Loris Tils, an eclectic musician hailing from La Louvière, Belgium, defies categorization with his music, constantly reinventing himself to embrace the ever-evolving dictates of his creativity. Currently immersed in a solo project, Loris embarks on a musical journey that promises yet another surprise for his audience. Amidst diverse musical ventures, Loris returns to his foundational passion: improvised creation. Embracing the spontaneity of live performances alongside a finely-tuned team featuring Patrick Dorcean on drums, Igor Géhénot on keyboard, Xavier Bouillon on synth, and Hervé Letor on Saxophone, the ensemble debuted in June 2017, birthing the daring and audacious project, "One Take." The subsequent release of "One Take II" further encapsulates this experimental ethos—each interpretation shaped by the moment's mood, audience desires, and the artists invited into this ever-evolving and collaborative project. Loris Tils' musical journey is rich with diverse experiences. His tenure as a bass player in various projects including Artur Menezes, Maati Baani, Marc Ysaye's solo endeavor, Mister Cover group, collaborations with Typh Barrow and Quentin Mosimann, among others, reflects his adaptability and prowess as a side man. As a leader, Loris steers his musical vision with projects like "One Take" and the Loris Tils Project, demonstrating his ability to curate and direct musical endeavors that thrive on improvisation and spontaneity.
