Los Fears is a Chilean Rock Pop band that was formed in early 2019. Initially, it began as a solo project by Andrés Contreras, who serves as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist. Throughout his youth, Andrés started crafting melodies and songs to express his experiences, memories, and emotions. The project gained momentum when his friend Enzo Maiben, an accomplished lead guitarist, joined in, and they started collaborating, exchanging musical styles and ideas.
After several months of experimentation and numerous trials, the young musicians realized that they had developed a distinct identity. With the addition of Joel Zamorano on drums and Luciano González on bass, the band solidified, comprising a group of friends united by their shared purpose: to revel in music and fulfill their dreams.
However, due to personal reasons, Enzo departed from the band, and Luciano relocated to Italy. This turn of events left Joel and Andrés as a duo in Santiago, Chile, but they continued to play together. To fill the void, they were joined by Gerardo "Tola" Cifuentes on bass, a childhood friend of Joel's, who enthusiastically joined their musical journey.
Presently, Los Fears have been actively touring and recording new music. Their debut release, "Kids Want To Play," which came out on December 22nd, has garnered significant acclaim from both Chilean and American press outlets.
