Los Puchos

Los Puchos is the musical brainchild of Austin Owen who got his start playing in bands in the Phoenix area throughout the early 2000s. His commitment to music solidified during two years with the Peace Corps in Paraguay where he spent six months writing a song a week, met the band EEEKS and worked with them to record their first record. After returning to the states in 2016, Austin built an analog recording studio where he produced another record with EEEKS and slowly began hashing out his original compositions under the name Los Puchos. In the years since then he has worked as an audio engineer and music producer for bands such as Proteens, EEEKS, Herbert Walker, KITIMOTO, Kolezanka, Los Esplifs, Alex & The Moondaze and Big City Sleep to name a few. His studio is located in the mountains outside of Tucson, Arizona at historical artist community Rancho Linda Vista.


Compound Fracture is Los Puchos’ fourth release and a return to the project’s roots with multi-instrumentalist Austin Owen as sole producer. These songs were recorded in the fall of 2021 with the help of a few hired drummers: John Blades (Alex & The Moondaze) Caleb Michel (Los Esplifs) and Mason Owen (Starving Daughters).
