Loser Soup

Loser Soup is a 3-piece power pop, indie rock band from San Francisco, California. The band formed in 2018 from a collection of scrappy, awkward, fun, bar goers who met in Santa Cruz and who all just couldn't get enough of bands like Pavement, Jimmy Eat World, and Teenage Fan Club. Their unique brand of entertainment fuses 90s garage rock and catchy vocal melodies with honesty and awkward stage banter that will trigger the nostalgia of being in the backseat of your best friend's station wagon at a Wendy's Drive Thru.

The founding members, Nathan and Will, met at the Red Room in Santa Cruz trying to stay out of a never ending debate between two other mutual friends, where each side was debating why they were more against capitalism. A bored and annoyed Will looked across the table and saw a bored and annoyed Nathan and said, “Hey, what do you do?” Thus Loser Soup was born. After relocating to San Francisco, they added Alex to the mix when Will joined half of Alex’s other bands.

Each member are veterans of several local scenes and have shared stages with The Phenomenauts, Maps and Atlases, and Nekrogoblikon. They are highly influenced by 90s/early 00s bands such as Pavement and Jimmy Eat World. Full of the attitude “we don’t really care but it would totally be cool if you did”, Loser Soup will awkwardly be playing a show near you.
