Losing Language is a band from Jersey City, NJ comprised of members Austin Lipinski, Stephen Edwards, Michael Doyle & Oscar Bamaca founded by Austin (former guitarist of Gatherers) and Steve in Feb 2017. A few months after his departure with Gatherers, Austin was offered the opportunity to rent a studio space with some friends. There he began showing song ideas to drummer Stephen Edwards. With Austin aspiring to focus more on songwriting and Steve being a fairly new drummer, both were eager to learn from each other. The two spent the next few months laying down the foundation of what would become the bands debut record. After the 8 songs were written & with studio time booked, their good friend Doyle joined as the official bassist just in time for recording. In Feb 2018, the band spent 5 days tracking the instrumentals for the album at Timber Studios with their good friend Adam Cichocki (drummer of Gatherers) and his assistant Augusto Sanchez. The next objective was for Austin to take the time to develop himself as vocalist and lyricist since that was new to him. After recording the album, the band decided to recruit fellow musician Oscar Bamaca as a second guitarist. In Feb 2019 the band entered the studio one last time to record the vocal tracks and finish it once and for all. On Aug 1st 2019 the band dropped a music video to their first single entitled “Names in the Pavement”. The band will be releasing their debut record “In Truth & Trust” on Aug 9th 2019 independently.
