Lost Anchor is an American rock band based in Indianapolis, formed by longtime friends who’ve been writing, recording, and performing together across various projects for years. After years of chasing momentum in separate directions, Seth Smitherman and Geoff Zentz came together with a shared vision: to build something honest from the ground up.
The band’s debut album, Turning Tide, was written and recorded between late-night sessions and day-job deadlines, drawing from years of personal and musical evolution. Their sound blends heavy guitar work, dynamic rhythm shifts, and lyrics rooted in real experience, equal parts grit and clarity.
Each member brings a different background to the table, but what unites them is a mutual respect for music that says something and a work ethic shaped far outside the spotlight. Lost Anchor is fully independent, self-recorded, and committed to staying hands-on in every part of the process, from tracking to artwork to connecting with listeners directly.
This isn’t a side project. It’s the band they always meant to make.
