Lost Island is a French DJ/production duo that formed in 2016, in Paris after Alexandre Soret and Max Renout, the two of them DJs, met at the university where they are currently studying music. Lost Island produce an electronic pop influenced by major artists of today’s music scene such as The Chainsmokers, Petit Biscuit and Blink-182.

Combining an electronic sound with a pop approach together with energetic rock beats, the world of Lost Island can be described as ethereal in terms of melody, mellow in terms of the harmonies, and subtly refined in terms of emotion.

The stage name of the duo encapsulates the dreamlike musical environment which they hope to conjure up through their music.

Alex is an accomplished musician who started playing the guitar at the age of two. Given his analog background, he excels in acoustic arrangements, refining the harmonic line of every title. As Alex loves cinema, he also composes and arranges soundtracks for films.

Max started computer-assisted music at the age of fourteen. As a multi-instrumentalist, he takes over the electronic aspect. Max was born and bred in Amsterdam and moved to Paris ten years ago. Given his in-depth knowledge of diverse musical software, he is gradually becoming a respected producer.
