Two years after the Cologne-based musician LOTA released her EP "bold", she presents six new tracks with the "mind" EP, which will be released in autumn and proves remarkable songwriting talent! With a sound somewhere between the wonderful "Through Water" by Låpsley, James Blake's emotional songwriting and the danceability of Sylvan Esso, the "mind" EP sounds like all these references and yet something quite unique. Organic sounds and a sense of small motifs that create big feelings are always the basis of her tracks. There is an impressively strong vulnerability and yet empowering self-determination in the music. Lotta Holtei, who lives in Cologne, already sang in the children's choir at the age of four, followed by her first piano lesson two years later. LOTA was also nominated for the Pop NRW Prize in 2021 and was part of the c/o Pop Festival, as well as the Cologne Music Week in 2021.
