Louis Rafaï

Louis Rafaï is a French singer-songwriter based in Nîmes. In his second album "L'île aux rêves", this sensitive artist takes us on a dreamy and poetic journey through his childhood memories on the island of Réunion. For this project, Louis draws inspiration from the tradition of French chanson (Léo Ferré), the new French song (Alain Bashung) but also from English-speaking songwriters (Leonard Cohen). Accompanied by his guitar and piano, Louis delivers emotional and sensitive music.


As a multi-talented artist, Louis Rafaï is passionate and influenced by music, cinema, literature, photography and painting. He writes, composes, produces, performs his songs and also directs his various music videos. It all started at the age of 6 with the study of the flute. Then came the guitar, piano and his first compositions. He formed his first band (Justhink) in 2007. A 3-year adventure that allowed him to perform on stage and record his first demos. After studying in the field of design and 3D animation, he decided to fully dedicate himself to his passion, music.


He released his first album "Système bleu nuit" in 2019. A self-produced concept album in which spleen and the need for escape whirl on pop rock melodies with atmospheric impulses. After several side projects (collaborations, commissions), he began working on his second album "L'île aux rêves" at the end of 2021, which was released at the beginning of the year. Louis is currently composing his third album.
